Michel Niquette lives and works in Montreal. Active in the visual arts community for nearly thirty years, he completed a Master of Fine Arts at l'Université du Québec in Montreal in 1992. After completing his initial training in printmaking techniques, he directed his pictorial production to painting, drawing and photography. Michel Niquette has won several Integrated Art and Architecture competitions, notably for the Bibliothèque municipale Marcel-Dugas in Ville St-Jacques in 1999, and for the Saint-Lin primary school in 1998. His works have been presented in solo exhibitions such as at Expression, Centre d'exposition de Saint-Hyacinthe, 1997, Plein sud, Longueuil, 1992, and Graff Galerie, Montreal, 1984. He also participated in collective exhibitions across Canada notably at Les Impatients, Montreal in 2012, the Galerie de l'UQAM, Montreal, 1996, and Musée du Québec, 1996. His works can be found in many public and private collections.
