Born in Dublin in 1962, Ronan Kennedy moved to Canada in 1981 where he studied fine arts at the Alberta College of Art in Calgary. His painting technique of layering oils is in a neo-classical style. The focus of his recent works and interests lies in depicting both interior and landscape scenes in subdued light as observed at dusk or sunrise. His work has been exhibited and collected in Canada, the United States, Ireland and Japan. Kennedy lives and works in St. John’s, Newfoundland.
